It’s that time again where the leaves are changing to the beautiful fall colors, the aroma of pumpkin spice lattes lingers and midterms are nearing. So far here at the Alpha Kappa chapter we have been busy bees. After two weeks of hard work we were able to recruit an amazing group of young women. 60 new members that we are able to call our sisters now. How #blessed are we?!

 

After settling down from the divine chaos of recruitment we had to get back up on our feet and spread the word on our first philanthropy event. Come on though it’s NACHO average philanthropy! Fiesta FrenXi without a doubt was SUPER SUCCESSFUL! We raised over $6,500 which pretty much is the bomb.com because that’s the most we have ever raised from Fiesta FrenXi! As a chapter we are very passionate about our philanthropy and love being able to make a positive impact.

 

After a successful event like Fiesta FrenXi we couldn’t just stop there, so we decided to organize the Austim Speaks 5k AmaXing Challenge this past weekend. We had a great turnout at the Tuttle Creek State Park and the weather was gorgeous! Nothing beats being able to spend time with your sisters.
